Brisket in Ginger Ale



3-4kg Silvermans Middle Cut British Brisket

1 litre Ginger Ale

1 pkt onion soup mix

1 pkt mushroom soup mix

3/4 cup tomato sauce

1/2 cup chutney

3 large onions

4-5 peppercorns

5 bay leaves


Place the meat in a casserole dish.  Mix the ingredients together and pour over the meat.  Bake at 180 C (350F) until soft (3-4 hours)
